The Frankton Eagles struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Wapahani Raiders had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Frankton ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-25 walloping at the hands of Wapahani. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Frankton has scored all season.
Joey Wright and Brady Carmack certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Wright scored nine points, while Carmack scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Isaac Andrews was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Wapahani. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Andrews has scored at least 25% of Wapahani's points. Nick Cook was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Frankton's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Wapahani, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Frankton will play host again and welcome Monroe Central, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroe Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Frankton is ranked 118th). As for Wapahani, they will head out on the road to face off against Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jay County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
