For the second straight game, Benbrook will face off against Carter-Riverside. The Bobcats will face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Benbrook has won four straight at home, while Carter-Riverside won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
Benbrook had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Carter-Riverside on Tuesday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Tanner Madara made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Benbrook's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Ethan Tucker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Martinez-Colon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Benbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carter-Riverside only posted an OBP of .300.
Benbrook's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Carter-Riverside, they moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Benbrook has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like Carter-Riverside struggles in that department as they've averaged .550. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
