The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Gavin Bruno was Karwoski's top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 51 yards.
Vernon's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Joshua Jean.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Parsippany Hills' offense. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of West Morris Mendham.
The win got Vernon back to even at 1-1. As for Parsippany Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
