The Salida Spartans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Pagosa Springs at home and fell 42-12. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Salida in their matchups with Pagosa Springs: they've now lost four in a row.
Pagosa Springs' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin Lindahl, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Lucero, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Salida now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Pagosa Springs, the win was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Salida does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pagosa Springs will head out on the road to face off against Bayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
