Marina Hristov posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. She struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Hristov and Minooka will face off against Joliet Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Steelmen are limping into the matchup having lost six straight on the road.
