Oceanside and Morse are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Mariners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Shipbuilders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Oceanside will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Oceanside had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Winslow on Friday. The Mariners were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Black Raiders. With that victory, the Mariners brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Levi Philbrook, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Willis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Oceanside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
Gray-New Gloucester hit Morse with a five-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Shipbuilders fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-5.
Oscar Gallant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.
At the plate, Collin Verrill made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Eli Sommers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
The win got Oceanside back to even at 2-2. As for Morse, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Oceanside has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Morse struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Oceanside couldn't quite get it done against Morse when the teams last played back in June of 2025 as they fell 5-2. Will the Mariners have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
