The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Three Rivers Christian in their matchups with Washington School for the Deaf: they've now lost five in a row.
Washington School for the Deaf was led to victory by Julian Robinson and Kwabena White-Star. Robinson scored 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while White-Star dropped a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Robinson has scored at least 25% of Washington School for the Deaf's points. The team also got some help courtesy of La'Juan Malone, who scored four points along with six steals.
Three Rivers Christian bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Washington School for the Deaf, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Three Rivers Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Firm Foundation Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Firm Foundation Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Washington School for the Deaf, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Willapa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Willapa Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
