Liberal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from J. Brooks Kappelmann, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Brooks Kappelmann's third in a row with at least ten points. James Fieser was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with 5 rebounds.
Southwestern Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Liberal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
