The Patrick Henry Patriots will venture away from home to  challenge the Miller City Wildcats  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Patrick Henry is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
While Patrick Henry didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by  a  22-3 margin over Kalida on Saturday.
 Mariah Boyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. Boyer was even better at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  Kasey Nelson was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Scherdt, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Patrick Henry  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 21  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Miller City faced off against Liberty Center on Saturday. Miller City took  a  9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty Center. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
 Miller City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Morgan Verhoff, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base.  Avery Ruhe also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
 Patrick Henry's record is now 4-0. As for Miller City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Miller City's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Patrick Henry has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .600. It's a different story for Miller City, though, as  they've  only  averaged .302. Will they be able to contain Patrick Henry's hitters?
 Patrick Henry beat Miller City 10-6  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patrick Henry since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
