On Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Westview had to settle for a 42-39 defeat against Lincoln Southeast. Westview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Westview saw an underclassman step up: Stella Williams scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Kellner, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Westview dropped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lincoln Southeast, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will take on Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Southeast, Lincoln Southeast and Norfolk will face off on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
