Negaunee had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Iron Mountain on Tuesday. The Miners' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mountaineers a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Miners have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Negaunee got a massive performance out of Morgan Robar, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Robar has posted over his last eight games. Another player making a difference was Tristan Slater, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Negaunee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Negaunee pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Iron Mountain, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Negaunee will head out to square off against Houghton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iron Mountain, they will venture away from home to take on Kingsford at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
