Basketball Recap: Clinton Skates Past Princeton with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Clinton on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Princeton Bulldogs out of the water with a 63-16 final score. The Dark Horses have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 47 points or more this season.

Clinton found their leader in sophomore Phoenix Everett, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for Everett. The team also got some help courtesy of Rubi Davila, who posted ten points and three steals.

Clinton was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only racked up three assists.

The win was the third in a row for Clinton, bringing their record for this year to 3-2. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Princeton, South Lenoir, and Hobbton. As for Princeton, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Clinton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-14 victory against South Lenoir on the 10th. As for Princeton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-14 win against Hobbton on the 10th.
