Kennard pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wells. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kennard in their matchups with Wells: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Laneville beat Neches 54-41 on Friday.

Kennard dropped their record down to 8-24 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Laneville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.
