The Chaney Cowboys won the last time they faced the Valley Christian Eagles, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Chaney blew past Valley Christian 50-11 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chaney.
It was another big night for Alyssa Brown, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Chaney's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandria Pete, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Chaney's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8. As for Valley Christian, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Chaney will head out on the road to square off against Western Reserve at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heartland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian is coming into the matchup with 16 straight defeats at home, meaning Heartland Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
