Softball Recap: Wayne Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wayne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let the School of the Arts Silverhawks get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sam Ray was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Gianna DePaul was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Wayne has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for School of the Arts, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Wayne is taking a road trip to take on Mynderse Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School of the Arts, they will be playing at home against Wilson Magnet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
