Colonial Beach have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Franklin at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close contest.
Colonial Beach gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener two weeks ago. They came out on top against Spotsylvania with a 14-7.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the match between Franklin and Essex last Monday was still a pretty decisive one as Franklin wrapped it up with a 40-22 win.
Their wins bumped Franklin to 2-0 and Colonial Beach to 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
