The Design Tech Dragons will head out to challenge the Castilleja Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Design Tech will be strutting in after a win while Castilleja will be coming in after a loss.
Design Tech barely beat El Camino the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons blew past the Colts 19-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.
Adelaide Chuang was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Chuang was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Ella Lewis and Kendall Hom did most of the damage at the plate: Lewis went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hom went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits Lewis has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sarah Todd, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Design Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .811. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Camino only posted an OBP of .312.
Meanwhile, Castilleja came up short against Half Moon Bay on Monday, falling 13-7. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Castilleja's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Design Tech, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Design Tech got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 against Castilleja by a conclusive 15-2 score. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
