While Evant's win against Lometa wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Elks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hornets on Tuesday. The Elks haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Evant wouldn't go down easily and took Lometa into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-14, 25-19, 9-25, 15-13.

Evant's victory bumped their record up to 6-22. As for Lometa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Evant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Jonesboro on the 24th. Lometa has also already played their next contest (against Oglesby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
