With a playoff game on the line, the Brentwood Bruins rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on Summit with a sharp 38-14 win. Brentwood's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brentwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baylor Hayes, who threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns while completing 79.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Trey Dorris also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Brentwood's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Summit, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Brentwood will be playing at home against Ravenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ravenwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
