Cranfills Gap was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 1A 6 Man 2 Region IV District 15 (6 Man). Earlier in the week, the Lions defeated Covington 58-8.
Cranfills Gap took down the Owls 58-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jonesboro's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Wise threw for 75 and one touchdown and Gerritt Buster had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Jimmy Bradshaw chipped in 150 yards. Logan Snoddy helped Jonesboro's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
Jonesboro's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wise has thrown for 282 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Dustin Nichols has three catches for 97 yards. Spencer Lord leads the league in rushing with 399 yards.
Kyle Doty's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on Covington.
