In a tight contest that could have gone either way, Pine Forest made off with a 38-37 win over Jack Britt. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Pine Forest has scored all year.
Leading Pine Forest to victory were Malachi Cooke and Nehemiah Mcdonald. Cooke dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Mcdonald dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Cooke set a new season high mark in steals with three. Another player making a difference was Fredrick Logan, who scored four points along with four steals.
Jack Britt lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tysean Major, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon Adams, who scored 12 points.
Jack Britt struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pine Forest's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Jack Britt, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Forest and Fairmont will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fairmont has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 422 points over their last six matchups.
