Basketball Recap: Billings Christian Comes Up Short

If Billings Christian was feeling good fresh off their 72-26 takedown of Yellowstone HomeSchool last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Billings Christian Warriors might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Broadview/Lavina Pirates an easy 62-41 win. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Billings Christian still got an impressive performance from Sawyer Middendorf, who posted eight points along with 11 boards and five blocks. Middendorf is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Jones, who had 14 points.

Billings Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Broadview/Lavina, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Billings Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-64 defeat against St. Labre Indian Catholic on the 20th. As for Broadview/Lavina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-17 win against Reed Point/Rapelje on the 20th.
