The Hannibal Pirates can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 61-57 win over Marshall. The win was just what Hannibal needed coming off of a 67-32 defeat in their prior matchup.
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Thompson, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Caviness, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Hannibal's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Marshall, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
