North Montgomery is 0-10 against Danville since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Chargin' Chargers will take on the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. North Montgomery is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
North Montgomery will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Covington, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chargin' Chargers blew past the Trojans 13-2 on Monday. Considering the Chargin' Chargers have won three contests by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Piper Ramey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs.
In other batting news, Kendra McClamroch was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Ella McManomy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Danville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Orioles.
Autumn Muncy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on eight hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Addison Davis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Cassie Thompson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Danville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avon only posted a batting average of .267.
North Montgomery's record is now 4-2. As for Danville, their record now sits at 3-4.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Montgomery hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Danville struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Montgomery suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Danville when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Chargin' Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
