In what's become a running theme this season, the Mancos Bluejays gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sargent 76-40 at home. That looming 76-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mancos yet this season.
Mancos had a senior duo take command as Andrew Jaime scored 22 points and Brian Veach scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Jaime scored 15 or more points. Kaiden Wyatt was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mancos' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for Sargent, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mancos and Dolores will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Dolores is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Sargent, they will be playing at home against Center at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Center will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Sargent is ranked 107th).
