Basketball Recap: Mariah Davis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Aubrey

Midland Classical Academy picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 23-15 victory over the Aubrey Chaparrals. Those 23 points were actually the fewest the Knights have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Midland Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mariah Davis, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of the Knights' points. McKinley Miller was another key player, putting up six points.

Midland Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Aubrey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Midland Classical Academy will welcome Klondike at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Aubrey, they have already played their next matchup, a 33-25 win against Lebanon Trail on the 24th.
