The Dominion Academy Sabers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Calvary Christian, falling 67-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dominion Academy has scored all season.
Calvary Christian was led to victory by Philip Davie and Wyatt Schlatter. Davie scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Schlatter scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Zeeke Wylie was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Dominion Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Calvary Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
After both having extra time off, Dominion Academy and Milford Christian will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Calvary Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lehman Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
