DCIAA - Stripes recap November 13, 2013
McKinley Tech's Danzel Brown rumbled for the longest rushing play in DCIAA - Stripes this season in his game against Eastern last week. Brown's team defeated the Ramblers as he sprinted for 67 yards on the play and finished with 182 in all.
McKinley Tech extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Eastern, 62-28. The win marks seventh in a row for the Alimamy Kallay's team.
Jason Strickland's team's Ora Moore and Dajuan Green have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Moore has thrown for 1,030 yards this season, while Green has 45 catches for 650 yards. The Trainers' Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 717.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Ramblers' Green goes up against McKinley Tech's Noah Brownlee.
One of DCIAA - Stripes' premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Eastern and the Trainers face off next week.
Next week's game between the Ramblers and McKinley Tech will feature a good passing match up as Moore will test his arm against Brownlee's defensive ability.
As it stands, the Trainers are in second, while Eastern is in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when McKinley Tech and the Ramblers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Trainers comes in having scored 380 this season, while Eastern has scored 157. McKinley Tech scored 62 points last week as it topped the Ramblers.
Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering took down Cardozo 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
