The Bluffton Bobcats will take on the Academic Magnet Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Bluffton's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Academic Magnet has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Bluffton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bridges Prep as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bluffton took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-11.

Bluffton can attribute much of their success to Trent Giglio, who had 11 digs. Giglio is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Bluffton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Academic Magnet was able to grind out a solid victory over Battery Creek on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Dolphins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Academic Magnet had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-12.
Bluffton's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Academic Magnet, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Bluffton beat Academic Magnet 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
