Anderson County got themselves on the board against Cumberland Gap on Tuesday, but Cumberland Gap never followed suit. They blew past the Panthers 14-0. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Benson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Trent Strickland was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Anderson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cumberland Gap only posted an OBP of .211.

Anderson County is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cumberland Gap, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson County will venture away from home to square off against Sweetwater at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Mavericks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cumberland Gap, they will head out to face off against Bell County on Thursday.
