The Bear River Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. Their tough 59-33 defeat to Mountain Crest might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Bear River has suffered since December 20, 2023.
Bear River's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aubree Fry, who scored 11 points along with five steals, and Brooklynn Pond who scored eight points.
Bear River has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Mountain Crest, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear River will take on Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Logan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Mountain Crest, they will be playing at home against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeline is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
