They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 66-40 walloping at the hands of Columbia Academy. Middle Tennessee Christian has not had much luck with Columbia Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Jeremy Jackson was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Columbia Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Davenport, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Middle Tennessee Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Columbia Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middle Tennessee Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Battle Ground Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Battle Ground Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Columbia Academy, they will head out on the road to take on The Webb School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (The Webb School is ranked 36th, while Columbia Academy is ranked 51st).
