The Peoria Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Goldwater 76-48 at home. The win was some much needed relief for Peoria as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Desmone Brooks-conley was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Colenburg, who scored eight points along with eight assists and two steals.
Peoria's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Goldwater, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will square off against Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goldwater, they will head out on the road to square off against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
