The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes's game on Saturday was all tied up 34-34 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Orem 86-81. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (69), Duncanville still had to take the loss.
Asher Young continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Orem, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Young is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Chance Dastrup was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 17 assists.
Duncanville now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Orem, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Duncanville will head out on the road to face off against Crowley at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Duncanville is ranked 124th). As for Orem, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dixie at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Dixie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
