The St. Paul Cardinals were the 29-18 winner over the Fayetteville Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. St. Paul received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 47-32 to Fayetteville. St. Paul just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Fayetteville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Harper Mau out in front who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Dyer, who scored 10 points.
St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fayetteville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
St. Paul will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Goliad at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Fayetteville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie Lea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
