Trinity is 1-6 against the Trojans since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trinity Titans are on the road again and plays the Triton Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th.
Last Friday, Trinity came up short against the Lions and fell 54-46. While losing is never fun, Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Lions are ranked 138th).
Trinity might have lost, but man, Jacob Palmer was a machine: he scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Palmer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Heintzelman, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Triton entered their tilt with the Comets with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Triton walked away with a 54-44 victory over the Comets on Saturday.
Trinity has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Triton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Trinity might still be hurting after the 53-29 loss they got from the Trojans in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Trinity avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
