Blair Academy came tearing into  Wednesday's  game with four straight wins  dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Academy of the New Church Lions 92-65.
 Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Cameron Smith, who  dropped  a double-double on 18  points and ten  boards. With that strong performance,  Smith is now averaging an impressive 8.2  boards per game.  Dior Carter was another key player,  going 6 of 12 on his way to 14  points along with six  boards and three  steals.
Academy of the New Church now  has a losing record at 2-3.
 Blair Academy will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Phelps at 11:15  a.m.  on December 28th. As for Academy of the New Church, they will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
