After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Crow Creek Chieftains were a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-18 loss at the hands of Winner. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crow Creek has scored all season.
Leading Winner to victory were Keelie Kuil and Kylie Sachtjen. Kuil scored four points along with nine steals and five assists, while Sachtjen scored 16 points along with six steals. Kuil is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cici Watson, who scored eight points.
Crow Creek has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Winner, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Crow Creek will play host again and welcome Stanley County, where tip off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winner will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
