Baseball Recap: Mesa Grande Academy Takes a Loss

Mesa Grande Academy and Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mesa Grande Academy had to settle for second. They fell 9-6 to Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy.

Zack Soren made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Adriel Gultom, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Mesa Grande Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.
