When it comes to explaining why Chaparral lost, one person who can't be blamed is Auburn Hill. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points.
Chaparral's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Cheney, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3-1.
Chaparral will head out on the road to challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Conway Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for Cheney, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Panthers. Independent will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
