After two games on the road, St. Joseph Regional is heading back home. They will take on the Hackensack Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, St. Joseph Regional came up short against St. Mary and fell 53-44.
St. Joseph Regional's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chaz Gray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Jahmir Joseph who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nate Bailey, who scored two points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hackensack pushed their score all the way to 69 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 77-69 to Ramapo. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (60), Hackensack still had to take the loss.
St. Joseph Regional's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Hackensack, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
St. Joseph Regional strolled past Hackensack in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 77-59. Does St. Joseph Regional have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hackensack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
