Potomac Valley II recap November 5, 2013
Moorefield added to the longest winning streak in Potomac Valley II this week by beating Pendleton County, 33-30. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Moorefield and the Wildcat played the closest game in the league this week, with Moorefield eventually emerging with a 33-30 victory.
Pendleton County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcat feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Luke Yokum has thrown for 1,004 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Dyllan Wimer has 38 catches for 496 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Josh See's team takes on Tygarts Valley. The Yellowjackets are in first place, while the Bulldogs are in sixth place.
Pocahontas County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,847 from 12,429. The improvement was largely due to a 46-14 victory over Webster County last week.
