The Morris Catholic Crusaders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Morristown-Beard 96-27 at home. Morris Catholic's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Morris Catholic was led to victory by Mia Pauldo and Mya Pauldo. Pauldo scored 21 points along with seven assists and three steals, while Pauldo scored 23 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pauldo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Collins, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Morris Catholic's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.1 points per game. As for Morristown-Beard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Morris Catholic will be playing at home against the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morris Knolls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Crusaders are ranked first). Morristown-Beard will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Bombers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
