Pelican Rapids put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Park Rapids Panthers 81-66. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in March.

Park Rapids' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Carroll also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Carter Hirt, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists.

Pelican Rapids' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Park Rapids, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Pelican Rapids will welcome Wadena-Deer Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Pelican Rapids' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Park Rapids, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
