There's no place like home for the Uintah Utes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 40-35 victory over Timpanogos on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Uintah also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Uintah had a senior duo take command as Charlee Gilroy scored four points along with five assists and three steals and Mackenzie White scored 17 points along with two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Uintah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Glenn, who scored six points along with three steals.
Uintah's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Timpanogos, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Uintah will head out on the road to challenge Payson at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Payson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Uintah surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timpanogos, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Orem at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Orem is ranked 114th, while Timpanogos is ranked 111th).
