Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scott's Branch). They secured a 45-41 W over the Manning Monarchs on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four points.

Manning lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Taniya Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ameerah Conyers, who posted seven points along with ten boards and seven blocks.

The victory made it two in a row for Scott's Branch and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Manning, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Scott's Branch will take on Lakewood in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
