Two dominant guards in Mason Eager and Parker Paxton are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Kelly Walsh Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverton Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Kelly Walsh faced Star Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Kelly Walsh took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Star Valley.
Meanwhile, Riverton came up short against Evanston on Saturday and fell 52-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverton has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Paxton, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrick DeVries, who scored nine points along with three steals and three blocks.
Kelly Walsh dropped their record down to 7-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Riverton, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
