The Whitehorse Raiders posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northwest 72-33 on the road. With that victory, Whitehorse brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Leading Whitehorse to victory were Larenz Tsosie and Lyric Phillips. Tsosie scored 15 points, while Phillips scored 28 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Phillips has scored at least a third of Whitehorse's points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Black, who scored nine points.
The win got Whitehorse back to even at 7-7. As for Northwest, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Whitehorse will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Green River at 7:00 p.m. Green River has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 546 points over their last eight matchups. As for Northwest, they will head out on the road to square off against Coronado at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Coronado is ranked 141st, while Northwest is ranked 148th).
