The Schenevus Central Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Cherry Valley-Springfield Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schenevus Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Schenevus Central suffered their biggest defeat yet this season back in December of 2023. They were outmatched by Oxford Academy on the road and fell 67-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Schenevus Central has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Cherry Valley-Springfield came up short against Milford Central on Friday and fell 62-51. Cherry Valley-Springfield has not had much luck with Milford Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Schenevus Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Cherry Valley-Springfield, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Schenevus Central strolled past Cherry Valley-Springfield when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 61-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Schenevus Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
