The Gouverneur Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Massena 61-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gouverneur has scored all season.
Leading Massena to victory were Taylor Mitchell and Colin Patterson. Mitchell scored 18 points, while Patterson scored 21 points. The contest was Patterson's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Gouverneur now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Massena, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Potsdam the next time they take the court. Massena will host Potsdam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Gouverneur will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
